• A native of North Carolina and life-long artist, Alison is a 1982 graduate of North Carolina State University with a bachelors degree in environmental design. She was awarded Regional Artists Project Grants for 2002, 2004, and 2008 from the North Carolina Arts Council, the Sarah Toy Everett full scholarship to study at the Penland School of Crafts, and top ten finalist for the 2008 North Carolina Arts Fellowship.

    Alison's work has been exhibited in solo, small group and juried shows in Ireland (Galway), New York (Brooklyn & Manhattan), Massachusetts (Springfield), Maryland (Bethesda & Largo), Illinois (Chicago), Indiana (Perdue U.), Colorado (Boulder, Denver & Fort Collins), California (Los Angeles and San Francisco), Virginia (Richmond , Alexandria & Farmville), West Virginia (Charleston), South Carolina (Rock Hill) , Vermont (Middlebury) , Pennsylvania (Philadelphia), Texas (Beaumont & Clifton), and over 75 exhibits in North Carolina.

    Collections include the Gregg Museum of Art & Design at North Carolina State University; Louisburg College; Saks Fifth Avenue; SAS Industries; Dr. Lucy Daniels; The City of Raleigh; Credit Suisse Bank Boston and in personal collections throughout the United States, and in Canada, Denmark, England, France, and New Zealand.
